I have not turned on my computer in a number of weeks now, or so it feels anyway.  I have been busy, very busy.

It was great having zarkia home.  We didn't do a whole lot but it was fantastic to just sit around and relax and knit.  Since zarkia left I have done nothing but work and knit.

As i'm sure you all know I've been getting work some what sporadically for the last year or so.  Some months there is loads of work others i'm off quite a bit.  It's funny the way whenever I'm out and about doing stuff I always think of loads of stuff I want to say here.  Unfortunately by the time I get around to sitting in front of a computer all those ideas have abandoned me and I sit staring at a blank screen wondering what to say.  Usually I leave again, having said nothing.

 This morning I was working.  It was great fun and a lot of people really wouldn't look on it as work.  I was kayak surfing at Rossbeigh beach.  The waves were small but nice, you had to work for them though.  I caught a couple of beauties.  We finished up early enough, around lunch time.  I came home and re-potted plants for the afternoon ( Read more... )

I'm back home from Spain, 24 hours late but that becomes meaningless compared to the relief and joy of being home.  I'm wrecked tired.  I arrived back in Kerry at 01:30 last night and was up for work at 07:30 this morning.  It was a long day too, I didn't get home here until after six.  Tomorrow will be another long day but then on friday to ( Read more... )

I had a fantastic morning paddling down the Upper Caragh.  I've been a bit anxious about that river for some time now, I've just heard too many people talking about it, nothing bad just the usual talk, but it all sinks into ones subconsious.  It was at a nice scrapy level today.  i put quite a few scratches into Liams new boat.  I feel a little ( Read more... )

My room is looking exceptionally bare.  My shelves are mostly empty and my windowsil only has a plant sitting on it; contrasting that however my floor is packed full of stuff.  It's even a little difficult to walk around my room some days.  Everything that used to live on shelves in temporarily living in boxes on my floor.  The only things left are ( Read more... )
